Job Title: Youth Rugby Chair Bucks RFU – Season 2025


Job purpose: The role is one of ensuring we provide full support and advice to all our players, youth team staff and club colleagues, to ensure we put the emphasis on player development.  You will also be responsible for overseeing all Youth age grade assessment processes and ensuring these remain both transparent and open. You will liaise with the girls section lead to ensure parity as far as possible.

Working with other County staff, you would have oversight of the Oxon, Bucks and Berks youth leagues whilst leading on our own Bucks youth cup and plate competitions. You will also act as liaison for our Schools and clubs to ensure we work together for the development of youth rugby within our County. You will always promote Buckinghamshire RFU both internally and externally.


Person Spec: Highly motivated Individual, with good organisational and communication skills together with a positive outlook. She/he must possess a desire to develop our young players throughout the County.  You should be able to motivate and develop our youth playing staff and be able to negotiate between Schools, Clubs and Academy’s as the need arises. The ideal person will have a broad exposure of all aspects of rugby and how to develop its young players.

Reporting: You would report into your nominated County executive member on a regular basis and on occasions, maybe asked to attend the exec meetings as the need arises.


Budget Responsibility: You will assist in the managing of the boy’s youth budget and may hold a small impress fund for those unexpected expenditures.
