Honouring Cheshams role in the development of women's rugby in Bucks

Presentation to Chesham

Bucks RFU had the pleasure in presenting Chesham RFC with a limited edition print of an original painting, depicting the past, the present and the future of the female game. The original painting now sits in the RFU council chamber at Twickenham stadium.

The print was presented to Chesham RFC by Bucks RFU Hon. Treasurer Kevin Marriott and Bucks RFU Council Rep, Simon Winman.

Chesham RFC has been playing women's rugby for 32 years and on Sunday they had 8 mums in the starting 15 with toddlers and dads on the touchline supporting!

Simon said “Chesham Ladies rugby has a fantastic heritage over the past 30 years and have provided several players to the County sides that reached recent finals Twickenham. No doubt they will continue to thrive in future years”.
